I think one of reasons I like watching clouds move across the sky is to see the shadows they cast. I think the moving shadows moving over undulating objects, in this case mountains, are the most fascinating. I can't explain the reason why I'm so capture by such a simple play of light and dark, but I am.

It was cold and would rain the rest of the day. But the dark blue of the clouds covering the entire sky was worth all the wet socks i could get in the rain. Wet socks are the only thing I hate about the rain. It's almost a fairy tail color. I'm not sure if the picture really captures that.

The color of the clouds are great. I wonder if it's a combination of the smog and atmosphere or does the sky get this color in other parts of the world minus the smog??? Simple picture! No obstructions in the way! I took this in an open field in the park, camera facing straight up. (Somehow I felt a little ridiculous, standing in the middle of the field with the camera pointed to the sky...but Ridiculous and I are close buddies. XD) I just adore the little wisps of cloud...it makes me think that the sky is a painting rather than reality.

This was the view from my classroom today. It was extremely hard to focus in class, to say the least. I was staring outside most of the day. I had to run back to the car to get my phone to take pictures. I took a LOT. So if you see similar pictures in future posts I don't want to hear that they're the same pictures because if they're in a different angle catching wisps of other clouds then it's different to ME. I have to say this was my favorite of the bunch, just because you can see the shadows of the clouds in the mountains.

You've got to see this in full view! Of course, a picture couldn't capture the whole effect, but this is probably the picture that best captures...how small the world is under the sky. The clouds are billowing up, seeming as if the sky is expanding upwards above the street that seems to narrow to the focus point; the fact that the clouds dominate this picture only enhance that.
It's like..the clouds stretch on and on forever...while the ground below seems so concise, seems to even be shrinking off in the distance...while the clouds are immense above the world, somehow separate, somehow greater.
